Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, geomatics, or related discipline
  • 5 years experience in GIS software development
  • Experience with geo data, GIS, and databases
  • Knowledge of object orientated programming and Python
  • Agile Development Methodologies desired
  • Analytical and structured thinking
  • Experience with DevOps/CI/CD or distributed computing
  • Very good English and German knowledge

Tasks

  • Define architectures and requirements for database generation toolchains
  • Design workflows for visual database solutions
  • Evaluate and select third-party database toolchain tools
  • Integrate end-to-end GIS data management systems
  • Automate visual database generation from diverse GIS data
  • Develop applications to simplify manual database modeling
  • Create storage solutions for large-scale GIS data
  • Build interfaces for COTS and open-source data tools
  • Prepare and edit geospatial data for visual databases
  • Plan and execute visual database verification processes
  • Perform automated testing using image generators and GIS tools
  • Write technical and user documentation following company processes
