Requirements
- •Knowledge of physical geodesy and gravity field theory
- •Experience in regional gravity field modelling using GRAVSOFT, GROOPS, KTH, SHGEO or another method
- •Experience in object-oriented programming (ideally Python and/or C++)
- •Good organisation, communication, responsibility and teamwork skills
- •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- •Spoken and written English or French with commitment to learn the other
- •National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- •Background in Topography, Geodesy, Surveying, Geomatic or related field
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •Valid driving licence

Tasks
- •Compute and validate state-of-the-art quasi-geoid models
- •Model equipotential surfaces inside tunnels
- •Participate in field observation campaigns
- •Perform gravity, GNSS, leveling, and astro-geodetic measurements
- •Develop gravity field modelling software packages
- •Integrate existing tools with new software features
- •Contribute to FCC studies and sub-millimetric alignment
- •Support the CERN-Swisstopo height system collaboration
- •Supervise and lead the project team
