You will drive global efforts to prevent and respond to gender-based violence by providing technical expertise, strengthening interagency partnerships, and ensuring policies translate into impactful field action.

Requirements

• •Master’s degree in relevant social field
• •Relevant experience based on degree level
• •Experience in international GBV functions
• •Survivor-centred approach and case management experience
• •Knowledge of gender equality and empowerment
• •Implementation of multi-sectorial GBV responses
• •Knowledge of GBV prevention theory
• •Understanding of GBV data collection issues
• •Knowledge of GBV Interagency humanitarian architecture
• •Experience with participatory community engagement
• •Understanding of displacement and protection issues
• •Completion of UNHCR learning programmes
• •Experience in a humanitarian context
• •Virtual and face-to-face training skills

Tasks

• •Develop and monitor multi-sectoral GBV strategies
• •Promote compliance with global GBV policies
• •Provide technical guidance on GBV programming
• •Conduct GBV safety audits and assessments
• •Mainstream gender across technical sectors
• •Lead global capacity development initiatives
• •Represent the organization in interagency forums
• •Strengthen partnerships with UN agencies and governments
• •Implement community-based GBV programming approaches
• •Facilitate GBV training workshops and reviews
• •Establish and manage GBV coordination mechanisms
• •Develop standard operating procedures for survivor support
• •Manage individual GBV case management systems
• •Ensure safe and ethical GBV data collection
• •Report on progress and promising practices
