Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, or related field
- Extensive financial services experience in international environments
- Experience applying European Commission financial rules (H2020/Horizon Europe) or practical implementation exposure
- Knowledge of Funding Programmes
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Accounting control and analysis
- Process analysis, definition, and improvement
- Personnel and material resources planning
- Problem-solving: assimilating information, identifying issues, formulating conclusions
- Self-management: autonomous work, proactive task engagement
- Effective communication: expressing opinions logically and concisely
- Teamwork: gaining trust and collaboration
- Learning and knowledge sharing: staying updated, absorbing new information
- Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
Tasks
- Apply European Commission financial rules
- Manage financial aspects of projects
- Ensure compliance with EC and CERN rules
- Analyze EC project proposals for funding schemes
- Develop strategic budgets for EC projects
- Define and manage project budgets and expenses
- Monitor project budgets and expenses
- Propose corrective actions for budget issues
- Follow up on EC projects financially
- Provide financial advice on grant matters
- Advise internal teams and external partners
- Prepare regular financial reports
- Meet reporting deadlines for internal and external audiences
- Propose improvements to internal financial procedures
Work Experience
