- •Master's degree, equivalent relevant experience in Environmental Engineering, or related field
- •Technical expertise in water domain environmental protection and hazardous substances
- •Experience with chemical pollutants monitoring, characterisation, and mitigation
- •Experience in technical application of environmental regulations
- •Experience with ecotoxicology and aquatic environment impacts (asset)
- •Knowledge of wastewater treatment or water treatment technologies (asset)
- •Knowledge of EU, French, or Swiss water/hazardous substance regulations
- •Environmental protection, evaluation, and prevention measure implementation
- •Stakeholder relationship management skills
- •Drafting and writing official documents in French and English
- •Ability to analyse complex environmental data and provide recommendations
- •Pragmatic problem solving and adoption of generic technical solutions
- •Commitment to learning and sharing knowledge in field of expertise
- •Effective, logical, and structured communication skills
- •Self-management and ability to work autonomously
- •Spoken and written English or French with commitment to learn other
- •Valid driving licence

Tasks
- •Serve as the organization's reference expert for water protection
- •Act as the primary expert for hazardous substances
- •Monitor and address effluent water quantity and quality issues
- •Evaluate emerging risks related to hazardous substances
- •Propose mitigation measures for campus and industrial facilities
- •Analyze environmental issues for accelerators and experiments
- •Define common environmental requirements for projects and activities
- •Develop organization-specific environmental guidelines
- •Conduct site visits and environmental investigations
- •Issue detailed reports on environmental findings
- •Coordinate the follow-up of environmental incidents and accidents
- •Proactively raise awareness of environmental best practices
- •Collaborate with departments to reduce environmental impact
- •Interact with French-speaking local technical authorities
