Energy & Sustainability Specialist(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the energy and sustainability strategy by managing CO₂ allocations, monitoring emissions, and developing long-term energy plans. Your work will involve data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and optimizing processes to meet climate goals.

Requirements

• •Experience in system modeling or energy & chem industry
• •MS or PhD in energy, engineering, math, informatics
• •Fluency in English and German

Tasks

• •Validate annual CO₂ allocations from BAFU
• •Define internal EUA distribution processes
• •Coordinate with BAFU on CO₂ allocation targets for 2026–2030
• •Prepare and submit CO₂ monitoring reports to BAFU and internal stakeholders
• •Create and maintain a mass and energy balance model for the Visp Verbund
• •Document standards and ensure allocations are recorded in SAP
• •Analyze cracker and steam allocation data and update regularly
• •Develop a 5-year energy development plan with cost and project impact assessments
• •Track RNZ projects and improve RNZ reimbursement reporting
• •Identify new opportunities for energy efficiency and innovation
• •Forecast future energy demand and support long-term budgeting
