Tasks

  • Interface with CERN electrical infrastructure team

  • Supervise power distribution cabling for CMS sub-detectors
  • Participate in safety assessments
  • Manage lock-down and re-powering of systems
  • Oversee electrical network evolution
  • Provide interface to contractors and support groups
  • Report to Technical Coordination on scheduling
  • Coordinate co-activity requirements
  • Monitor work progress and risks
  • Coordinate procurement and installation of power systems
  • Collaborate with CMS lead electrical engineer
  • Collaborate with cabling coordinator
  • Establish QA/QC procedures
  • Document test execution
  • Supervise site activities
  • Ensure proper documentation
  • Support CMS detector team in re-powering
  • Ensure CMS detector readiness for operation
