Tasks
- Lead CMS electrical infrastructure activities
- Interface with CERN electrical infrastructure team
- Refine project specifications for CMS needs
- Validate technical solutions
- Coordinate technical solution implementation
- Supervise power distribution cabling for CMS sub-detectors
- Participate in safety assessments
- Manage lock-down and re-powering of systems
- Oversee electrical network evolution
- Provide interface to contractors and support groups
- Report to Technical Coordination on scheduling
- Coordinate co-activity requirements
- Monitor work progress and risks
- Coordinate procurement and installation of power systems
- Collaborate with CMS lead electrical engineer
- Collaborate with cabling coordinator
- Establish QA/QC procedures
- Document test execution
- Supervise site activities
- Ensure proper documentation
- Support CMS detector team in re-powering
- Ensure CMS detector readiness for operation
