Requirements
- •Master’s degree in nuclear engineering, chemistry, physics, or closely related field
- •8+ years’ experience in radiochemistry of nuclear fuel
- •Minimum 5 years of managerial/technical coordination experience
- •Excellent knowledge in radiochemistry of nuclear fuel
- •Deep knowledge in design and fabrication of nuclear fuels
- •Knowledge in reprocessing and electrochemical separation of transuranic isotopes in molten salt
- •Prior team management experience in multicultural and industrial setting
- •Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- •Strong strategic thinking and diplomatic skills
- •Fluency in English and German, knowledge of French is an asset

- •Bridge operational management and scientific leadership
- •Design and deploy fuel cycle processes for various fuel options
- •Collaborate with units on digital infrastructure and safety
- •Define and implement technological improvements in the fuel cycle
- •Supervise the construction of the pyroprocessing facility
- •Support staff in glove boxes and hot cells for experiments
- •Manage the fuel licensing process for the Th/U fuel cycle
- •Ensure quality and cost objectives are met in fuel cycle realization
- •Oversee compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
- •Implement experimental procedures and data management practices
- •Monitor lab safety and radiation protection protocols
- •Assist in coordinating work planning, budget, and resources
- •Conduct financial reviews of work plans and supplier terms
- •Manage team recruitment, training, and development
- •Review nuclear safety analyses
- •Stand in for the Head of Unit in leadership meetings
- •Coordinate with other unit heads to implement procedures
