DAQ and Detector Developer(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Experience in applied physics, detector testing, DAQ
- Direct experience with real-time systems (FPGA, micro-controllers, SoC)
- Experience in detector labs, electronics, prototyping, test beam
- Teamwork skills
- C/C++ and/or Python skills
- Knowledge of VHDL and/or other HDL
- Ability to use standard lab tools (scope, generators, NIM modules, detectors)
- Understanding of electronics
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Professional background in Electronics engineering/applied physics or related field
- Master's degree with 2 to 6 years post-graduation experience
- PhD with no more than 3 years post-graduation experience
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
Tasks
- Develop firmware on FPGA backend boards
- Test and validate backend electronics
- Test and validate frontend detectors
- Develop DAQ software
- Finalize firmware architecture for tracker luminosity systems
- Implement online clustering for Inner Tracker
- Implement stub counting for Outer Tracker
- Develop firmware for BRIL Trigger Board
- Finalize firmware for FBCM backend system
- Complete BRIL replica testing system
- Reproduce Phase 2 backend system
- Develop software interface for BRIL Phase 2 backend system
- Coordinate BRIL Phase 2 backend system testing
- Test BRIL Phase 2 backend system control
