Control Systems Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing and simulating next-gen engine control architectures for combustion engines. Model-based systems engineering and Matlab/Simulink proficiency required. Flexible hours, home office, company restaurant.
Requirements
- Completed engineering studies in automotive, powertrain, mechanical, mechatronics, electronics, or similar
- Solid experience in combustion engine control system development, multi-physics modeling, and ideally engine calibration
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and embedded software engineering
- Strong skills in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and signal processing
- Familiarity with ALM/PLM and requirements authoring tools
- Familiarity with MBSE environments (System Composer, Cameo, Rhapsody, or similar)
- Analytical mindset
- High learnability
- Knowledge of agile methods
- Effective collaboration in cross-functional engineering teams
- Willingness to occasionally travel
- English fluency
Tasks
- Design and simulate system-level control
- Contribute to next-generation engine control architectures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customers
- Develop and maintain model-based plant/system models
- Create Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) simulation environments
- Test, analyze, and validate control functions
- Perform evidence-based trade-off analyses
- Optimize technical solutions
- Support application engineers during commissioning
- Define system-level control specifications
- Conduct failure mode analysis
- Consider safety and cybersecurity
- Analyze dynamic behavior of engine control system elements
- Design and develop engine control system architectures
- Focus on performance, quality, and reusability
- Coordinate with project management
- Integrate new functions and components
- Improve model-based systems engineering methods
- Enhance processes and toolchains
