Requirements

  • Civil Engineering design or Construction works experience
  • Coordination experience
  • MS Office suite proficiency, including MS Project
  • Construction project management tools and methodologies familiarity
  • Quality control, procedure writing, reports and minutes
  • Spoken and written English or French, with commitment to learn other
  • National of CERN Member or Associate Member State
  • Master's degree with 2-6 years post-graduation experience or PhD with <=3 years experience in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
  • Valid driving licence

Tasks

  • Supervise construction execution
  • Ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Implement and monitor safety measures
  • Identify and prevent potential issues
  • Manage defect remediation
  • Participate in testing and commissioning
  • Ensure smooth project handover
  • Contribute to project design
  • Coordinate with project manager
  • Monitor consultants' deliverables
  • Coordinate on-site interfaces
  • Organize worksite according to schedule
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and budget

  • Master's degree
