Requirements
- Master’s degree in chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science or biochemistry
- Experience in design and optimization of chemical sensing systems
- Experience with optical transducers
- Skills in molecular spectroscopy (UV-Vis absorption and/or fluorescence)
- Skills in experimental design
- Skills in mathematical and statistical tools for spectral analysis
- Strong knowledge in switchable (photo)materials
- Strong knowledge in low MW chemicals sensing
- Strong knowledge in ligand receptor interactions
- Strong knowledge in functionalized nanoparticles for sensing
- Strong knowledge in supramolecular self-assembly
- Strong knowledge in functional organometallic compounds
- Curiosity and innovation
- Rigorous and problem-solving oriented
- Team player skills
- Fluent English
- Fluent French
Tasks
- Plan and organize experimental work
- Perform and analyze experiments
- Monitor literature, IP, and competitor technology
- Document and present results
- Discuss results autonomously
- Collaborate with R&D groups
- Work with external partners
- Contribute to in-product marking group development
