Requirements
- Swiss Federal Certificate (CFC/EFZ) in Chemical Laboratory Technology with minimum 7 years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent (no prior industrial experience required)
- Strong interest and/or initial experience in ink formulation and functional materials
- Hands-on laboratory mindset with experience (or strong aptitude) in using measurement and characterization equipment
- Ability to design experiments, follow protocols, and ensure data quality and traceability
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Personal skills and senior skill potential
- Curiosity, motivation, and eagerness to develop deep technical expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Increasingly autonomous, with ability to manage laboratory tasks with limited supervision
- Reliability, structure, and quality orientation
- Team player in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment
- Willingness to progressively take on broader responsibilities
- Good working knowledge of English and French (spoken and written)
Tasks
- Contribute to research and development of security features
- Optimize materials, pigments, and ink systems for machine-readable applications
- Formulate inks, ensuring dispersion and stability
- Evaluate ink performance on various substrates
- Integrate functional security materials into ink platforms
- Design and execute experiments to assess feature performance
- Measure and characterize features using diverse laboratory equipment
- Validate new materials, methods, and processes
- Analyze and interpret experimental data
- Propose technical improvements based on results
- Draft technical reports and experimental summaries
- Prepare presentations for internal R&D stakeholders
- Create and update technical documentation
- Support printing trials and customer activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
