Business Analyst(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Experience or strong academic background in business analysis, information systems, business process modelling, or related field
- Experience with analytical work, process documentation, data analysis, or requirements gathering
- Interest in large-scale system transformation projects and complex organisational environments
- Knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, procurement, finance, or logistics systems) is an advantage
- Familiarity with UX principles and methodologies would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of business modelling concepts and ability to translate requirements into practical solutions
- Analytical mindset with ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data for actionable insights
- Proactive problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and provide effective solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with multidisciplinary teams and presenting and justifying designs
- Working autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Professional background in Software Engineering, Business Analysis (or related field)
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
Tasks
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams
- Gather and prioritize business requirements
- Analyze business processes and systems
- Identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Conduct gap analyses of custom developments
- Compare custom developments to standard ERP processes
- Develop business process documentation
- Maintain business process documentation
- Create process flows using BPMN
- Document user requirements
- Support workshops with business stakeholders
- Consolidate analysis outputs for implementation
- Support functional analysis activities
- Participate in working groups with the ISP
- Assist in testing phases
- Assist in validation phases
- Support user acceptance testing
- Monitor key performance indicators
- Report on key performance indicators
- Track progress towards organizational goals
