- Previous experience with children/young people

- Strong organizational skills, effective administrative task completion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Enthusiasm for boarding life, participation in activities/excursions
- Collaborative work with colleagues, students, parents
- Driving license preferred, driving duties integral
- Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environment
- Energetic, enthusiastic, team player, resistant to pressure
- Good sense of humour, belief in positive/respectful relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with students
- Excellent level of English
- Experience working with children and young people
- Awareness of Child Protection guidelines
- Professional distance from students, effective caring relationships
- Understanding and embracing diversity and inclusion
- Standing against discrimination
- Background investigations and reference checks for past ten years
Tasks
- Provide emotional and practical support to students
- Collaborate with House Parents and Health Centre
- Foster a positive, inclusive house environment
- Promote teamwork, respect, and responsibility
- Encourage student engagement in activities
- Participate in student activities and excursions
- Support evening, weekend, and holiday activities
- Assist with meal supervision and laundry oversight
- Manage student wake-up and bedtime routines
- Ensure the house is clean, organized, and safe
- Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping
- Contribute to student progress reports
- Monitor student whereabouts and adherence to schedules
- Handle missing students, fire drills, and medical emergencies
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and integrity
- Support students from diverse backgrounds
