Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience trading European energy
  • •Strong foundation in Financial Theory and Asset Pricing
  • •Experience in Power Intraday markets and Ancillary Services
  • •Hands-on battery pricing and trading exposure
  • •Commodity options and structured products trading experience
  • •Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
  • •Availability to work onsite in Lausanne or Olten

Tasks

  • •Own the long-term BESS risk book
  • •Identify and quantify structural risks from merchant revenues
  • •Manage risks related to ancillary services and degradation
  • •Design and execute hedging strategies in European power markets
  • •Stabilize cashflows and protect downside while preserving upside
  • •Support pricing and structuring of long-dated battery exposures
  • •Trade options and structures to manage BESS operations
  • •Collaborate with Origination/BD and Intraday/Asset Trading teams
  • •Ensure accurate pricing, booking, and risk monitoring
  • •Contribute to model specifications and stress tests
  • •Propose limits and key risk indicators for governance
  • •Refine P&L and exposure reporting for batteries
  • •Maintain market awareness of European reserve and flexibility products
  • •Translate regulatory impacts into trading and hedging actions
