Requirements
- Strong experience with Go and another programming language
- Experience in Kubernetes
- Passion for reliable and scalable backend systems
- Experience in SDLC, automated tests, CI/CD tools
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Keen about scalable web application principles
- High level of creativity
- Communicative, proactive, and collaborative
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
- Experience with Python, Kotlin, or Java
Tasks
- Drive development of stable, reliable, scalable, performant, fault-tolerant, and monitored applications
- Ensure high availability through standardization
- Impact reliability and performance of systems powering Freenow by Lyft's mobility solutions
- Own and be responsible for feature ideas, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues in existing systems
- Improve resource usage (DB access, cache, messaging, etc.)
- Establish and enforce development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance practices
- Develop comprehensive monitoring and observability capabilities
- Gain insights into platform and microservices health, performance, and behavior
- Participate in incident response flow evolution, ensuring transparency
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment
- Contribute to and participate in agile ceremonies
- Stay updated on technology trends and implement best practices
