Operating and developing thin-film sputtering processes for detector materials, including chromium and niobium. Master's degree or equivalent experience with sputtering systems required. 30 days paid leave, 2 weeks annual closure.

- Operation and process development on sputtering systems
- Surface preparation and cleaning techniques for detector materials
- Processes involving chromium, titanium, copper, niobium and aluminium
- Profilometer measurements for thin-film thickness
- Surface characterisation
- Development and optimisation of deposition recipes
- Detector cleaning and recovery techniques for Micro-Pattern Gas Detectors
- High-voltage cleaning of GEM detectors
- Recovery of Micromegas through thermal bonding
- Collaboration with external suppliers and technical partners
- Production and analysis of thin-film coatings
- Fabrication of electronic circuit boards on photolithography
- Simulation, design and development of detectors
- Operation and maintenance of electromechanical equipment
- PVD, CNC, plating and etching lines
- Use CAD design software such as UCAM or Altium
- Teamwork skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Knowledge sharing and coaching
- Spoken and written English or French
- Commitment to learn the other language
