Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD or equivalent relevant experience
  • Operation and process development on sputtering systems
  • Surface preparation and cleaning techniques for detector materials
  • Processes involving chromium, titanium, copper, niobium and aluminium
  • Profilometer measurements for thin-film thickness
  • Surface characterisation
  • Development and optimisation of deposition recipes
  • Detector cleaning and recovery techniques for Micro-Pattern Gas Detectors
  • High-voltage cleaning of GEM detectors
  • Recovery of Micromegas through thermal bonding
  • Collaboration with external suppliers and technical partners
  • Production and analysis of thin-film coatings
  • Fabrication of electronic circuit boards on photolithography
  • Simulation, design and development of detectors
  • Operation and maintenance of electromechanical equipment
  • PVD, CNC, plating and etching lines
  • Use CAD design software such as UCAM or Altium
  • Teamwork skills

  • Spoken and written English or French
  • Commitment to learn the other language

  • Contribute to operating thin-film processing technologies
