Requirements

  • •Familiarity with 3D CAD and FEA
  • •Experience with polymeric resins and composites

  • •Knowledge of Metal Additive Manufacturing
  • •Coating and resin deposition analysis
  • •Use of CAD tools
  • •Use of FEA tools

  • •National of CERN Member State
  • •Bachelor's or Master's in Material Science
  • •No previous CERN graduate contract

Tasks

  • •Collaborate with CERN and CSEM specialists on the SensiPipe project
  • •Coordinate communication between CERN, CSEM, and Lisi Aerospace
  • •Develop technical specifications based on user requirements
  • •Research optimal resins for insulation and sealing
  • •Oversee additive manufacturing production lots at Lisi
  • •Document project milestones and deliverables in formal reports
  • •Select and procure miniaturized sensors and electrical connectors
  • •Design the SensiPipe segment using 3D software
  • •Perform structural and material simulations using FEA software
  • •Optimize sensor integration and conductive track deposition
