Requirements

  • Experience in sensor applications
  • Experience with LPBF Additive Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD and FEA
  • Experience with polymeric resins and composites
  • Experience with industrial partner projects
  • Knowledge of Metal Additive Manufacturing
  • Coating and resin deposition analysis
  • Use of CAD tools
  • Use of FEA tools
  • Teamwork skills

  • Spoken and written English and French
  • National of CERN Member State
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Material Science
  • No previous CERN graduate contract

Tasks

  • Collaborate with CERN and CSEM specialists on the SensiPipe project
  • Coordinate communication between CERN, CSEM, and Lisi Aerospace
  • Develop technical specifications based on user requirements
  • Research optimal resins for insulation and sealing
  • Oversee additive manufacturing production lots at Lisi
  • Document project milestones and deliverables in formal reports
  • Select and procure miniaturized sensors and electrical connectors
  • Design the SensiPipe segment using 3D software
  • Perform structural and material simulations using FEA software
  • Optimize sensor integration and conductive track deposition
