- •At least 5 years of leadership experience
- •Proven record of establishing new entities
- •Excellent communication and organizational skills
- •Minimum 10 years of experience in managing international projects
- •Broad and strong industrial and academic network
- •Proactive and creative independent thinking
- •Effective leader capable of inspiring and guiding teams
- •Fluent in English, German is a plus

- •Oversee corporate and profit responsibilities
- •Initiate and manage collaborative projects with academia and industry
- •Expand the research unit's international network through partnerships
- •Shape the research program and create project portfolios with the division head
- •Drive the research unit towards excellence and economic impact
- •Foster a motivated and collaborative atmosphere for scientists
- •Develop the research unit to a world-class level
- •Provide career guidance to help researchers advance to world-class scientists
- •Define and shape research priorities and organizational structure
- •Oversee collaborative and funded research projects from initiation to execution
- •Support scientific and industrial project partners in cooperative research
- •Provide technical expertise and guidance to project managers
- •Initiate research projects with industrial partners and craft funding proposals
- •Increase visibility of SAL by disseminating research findings through publications and events
