Senior Specialist, Global Mobility - Tax and Travel(m/w/x)
Global mobility tax and travel support, policy development for assignments and business travelers. Deep understanding of social security and double tax treaties required. 4-day work week, 6 weeks vacation.
Requirements
- 5+ years Global Mobility, International HR, or Tax/Immigration Consulting experience
- Deep understanding of social security treaties
- Deep understanding of double tax treaties
- General knowledge on visa categories
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to translate "legalese" into human language
- Vendor savvy
- Experience managing external partners
- Accountability to SLAs
Tasks
- Own end-to-end business traveler and assignment support globally
- Lead global mobility policy development and improvement
- Ensure policy competitiveness and compliance for assignments and travelers
- Act as lead consultant for mobility into complex jurisdictions
- Focus on Switzerland and APAC regulatory landscapes
- Ensure policy alignment with local labor laws and tax treaties
- Manage technical evaluation for 'Work from Anywhere' and cross-border commuters
- Deliver expert assessments on Corporate Tax Nexus and Permanent Establishment risks
- Partner with Finance and external advisors on shadow payroll
- Resolve issues with social security totalization agreements
- Address personal income tax liabilities for mobile employees
- Design end-to-end compliance ecosystem for business travelers
- Ensure international movements trigger visa, tax, and social security assessments
- Act as high-touch primary contact for senior leadership and complex assignees
- Manage requests from senior leadership and complex assignees
- Minimize risk for senior leadership and complex assignees
- Drive performance of external vendors (RMCs, tax firms, immigration counsel)
- Hold partners accountable to rigorous SLAs and KPIs
- Oversee mobility budget and global billing processes via Coupa
- Ensure accurate cost allocation
- Identify opportunities for cost containment
- Leverage mobility data for leadership insights
- Provide insights on population trends
- Provide insights on program ROI
- Provide insights on compliance heat maps
- Identify and implement digital solutions to streamline 'travel-to-visa' workflow
- Improve employee experience through digital solutions
