Requirements

  • •Enrollment in master’s study programme in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • •Strong programming skills in Python, C/C#, or similar
  • •Foundational knowledge of Cyber Security concepts; deeper understanding of cyber-physical systems or industrial control systems (ICS) beneficial
  • •Experience with Linux (system administration and scripting)
  • •Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for highly innovative research
  • •Knowledge of/interest in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) highly desirable
  • •Interest to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate on different topics
  • •Good verbal and written English and/or German skills

Tasks

  • •Develop and enhance a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testbed
  • •Work hands-on with PLCs
  • •Contribute to research on protecting ICSs
  • •Explore attack modeling based on your interests
  • •Simulate threats and design secure systems
  • •Build hands-on and virtual training environments
  • •Conduct cyber-attacks and evaluate implementations
