Defect Engineering Manager(m/w/x)

Description

You will lead a specialized team of engineers to drive defect density improvements, managing everything from high-level KPI tracking to critical stakeholder escalations and audits.

Requirements

• •Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or comparable
• •Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related areas
• •Proven leadership experience, ideally managing teams
• •Open mindset and proactive contribution
• •Analytical mindset and high data literacy
• •Understanding of defect inspection and SPC/FDC
• •Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• •Ability to manage priorities across teams
• •Fluent English skills, German is a plus

Tasks

• •Manage the defect engineering organization end-to-end
• •Lead a team of approximately ten defect engineers
• •Define and track KPIs like defect density and excursion rates
• •Prioritize CIP and D0 improvement projects
• •Provide resources and analysis expertise to task force teams
• •Act as the first escalation level for suppliers and stakeholders
• •Communicate defect updates to internal and external customers
• •Support audits and drive follow-up actions to closure
• •Model collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
