Directing strategy for a major Energy & Utilities account with a sales quota. 10+ years consultative high-tech sales experience required. Uncapped commission, world-class sales training.
Requirements
- 10+ years consultative sales experience
- Proven success in consultative sales
- High technology sales experience (services, software, hardware)
- Experience managing one major account and subsidiaries
- Public Sector experience (nice to have)
- Ability to prospect and manage C-level relationships
- Ability to manage senior level relationships in large companies
- Strong intellect
- Strong drive
- Strong executive presence
- Strong sales acumen
- Excellent client relationship building
- Value added, strategic insight into client business
- Understand enterprise-wide issues
- Structure innovative, integrated solutions
- Provide IT decision support to global companies
- Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers
- Extensive industry knowledge specific to vertical markets
- Strong computer proficiency
- Excellent written skills
- Excellent oral/presentation skills
- Develop and conduct effective presentations
- Present to contract decision makers (C-level)
- Knowledge of full sales process lifecycle
- English language skills
- German language skills
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Master’s or advanced degree (a plus)
Tasks
- Set strategy for major regional accounts
- Drive new business within strategic accounts
- Carry a sales quota for specific accounts
- Direct strategy for a large, strategic Energy & Utilities account
- Coordinate selling and relationship activities
- Understand client business strategy, drivers, and goals
- Translate client insights into Gartner selling opportunities
- Establish and maintain executive relationships
- Become a trusted advisor to clients
- Manage accounts to increase customer satisfaction
- Increase account retention and growth
- Master Gartner’s internal sales methodology
- Execute large account planning and territory management
- Maintain forecast accuracy monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Stay informed about competitors
- Manage expenses responsibly
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services
