Valves Development Engineer [High-Thrust Rocket Engine](m/w/x)

Anforderungen

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline, or bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience
• Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design
• Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and constraints
• Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software and drafting
• Experience writing software/scripts in languages like Python
• Ability to infer system-level implications of component design choices
• Proficient in conducting thermomechanical analysis
• Relevant experience with cryogenic fluids
• Strong ability to work in close collaboration with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong research skills and ability to infer useful information from partial or contradictory sources
• Drive towards excellence and ability to work within time constraints
• Proficiency in organization and prioritization of tasks
• Fluency in English
• Strong understanding of liquid-propellant rocket engines as a system (optional)

Aufgaben

• Design and develop cryogenic valves
• Perform engineering calculations for thermo-mechanical and stress-strain analysis
• Create 3D models and technical drawings using CAD/CAE tools
• Analyze and select materials for cryogenic and high-temperature applications
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and production teams
• Lead test campaigns and analyze results for design improvements
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and manuals
