Anforderungen
- MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Mathematics or similar
- Strong background in (bio-)process modelling or data analytical methods
- Relevant professional experience in process modeling and digitalization
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics and/or modeling & simulation of industrial cell culture processes
- Demonstrated programming skills (R, Python or MATLAB)
- Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms
- Deep knowledge in Machine learning and data analytical methods
- Deep knowledge in Mechanistic modeling (e.g., mass balances, kinetic models or hybrid modelling)
- Deep knowledge in Digital twin development and real-time process control
- Experience with generative AI (e.g. LLMs, diffusion models) for knowledge extraction, process design, or automation is a strong plus
- Proficiency in relevant modelling tools and platforms
- Understanding of bioprocessing principles and unit operations is advantageous
- Fluency in English, oral and written
- German is a plus
Aufgaben
- Design advanced modeling and simulation strategies
- Develop mechanistic, data-driven, and hybrid models
- Deploy in silico process optimization and scenario analysis
- Integrate Digital Twins with Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
- Implement generative AI (genAI) solutions for data extraction and processing
- Extract and process data from structured and unstructured sources
- Derive bioprocess insights from data
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to align modeling strategies
- Share best practices and contribute to modeling standards
- Support cross-functional digitalization initiatives
- Train peer scientists on modeling tools and solutions
- Ensure compliance with data integrity, quality, and regulatory standards
