- Understanding of EASA Part 21J certification process
- Good understanding of EASA regulatory requirements
- Understanding of applicable airworthiness requirements (CS-25.561, CS-25.562)
- Experience in seat development and certification
- Familiarity with ETSO performance standards (C127, C39 series)
- Working knowledge of STC processes for aircraft seats
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in aircraft interior modification programs
- Experience with novel seat features (pre-tensioners, air bags)
- Ability to manage multiple programs
- Effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
- Willingness to help, develop, mentor, and coach staff

- Produce STCs for post-delivery seating product installation
- Represent Boeing on stress, engineering, and certification topics

- Assess and predict structural failure modes
- Execute root cause analysis
- Compile structural substantiation documents
- Review supplier data for seat integration approval
- Collaborate with Boeing teams and stakeholders
- Ensure correct product condition and quality
