  • At least 5 years experience in integrated materials management functions within manufacturing
  • Experience implementing lean concepts, MRP manufacturing processes, and advanced supplier relationships
  • At least 3 years leadership experience
  • Focus on standardizing planning and execution, reducing procurement complexity, and developing talent
  • Extensive experience in materials planning and procurement within mechanical engineering company (low volumes - high mix)
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes
  • Experience with visual management systems
  • Fluent German
  • English at least B2 level

Aufgaben

  • Plan and control direct materials
  • Develop materials strategy and project initiatives
  • Enable lean and continuous improvement in material flow
  • Manage materials department indirect labor productivity
  • Optimize materials management activities
  • Schedule production and purchasing
  • Control inventory and materials movement
  • Measure supplier performance
  • Manage indirect materials
  • Implement and support Materials and SIOP standard work
  • Facilitate interaction with Sourcing, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Accounting, and Quality Assurance
  • Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming processes and suppliers
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel
  • Drive improvement initiatives like digitizing planning and demand reporting
  • Manage supplier deliveries and inventory in a Lean environment
  • Plan, evaluate, organize, integrate, and delegate tasks
  • Assign jobs based on staff requirements
  • Support Global Procurement Commodity Leaders in supplier selection
  • Develop and implement professional development programs
  • Align production plan with SIOP consensus plan
  • Improve supplier relationships
  • Perform other assigned duties
