- Leading large, cross-functionally networked teams
- Indirect management and complex conflict resolution
- Developing long-term scientific strategies
- Driving industry-level innovation in regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Assessing complex and uncertain data sets
- Translating data into strategic, medium-term decisions
- Extensive national and international scientific network
- Representing organizations in external scientific forums
- Representing organizations in regulatory interactions
- High degree of autonomy in decision-making
- Developing new concepts independently

- Define and drive global scientific strategy
- Ensure long-term priorities and roadmaps
- Strengthen product robustness and compliance
- Lead and develop Science Expert organization
- Allocate resources and plan budgets
- Act as central escalation point
- Initiate and steer scientific projects
- Guide Science Subject Matter Experts
- Ensure strong internal and external alignment
- Build relationships with partners
- Manage outsourcing activities
- Interface with regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with scientific institutions
- Engage with industry networks
- Evaluate scientific risks
- Assess medium-term impact
- Ensure informed decision-making
- Manage cross-functional organization
- Resolve organizational conflicts
