- Create software and hardware tools for diagnostics and testing
- Interface various sensors with MCUs or SOMs
- Document code thoroughly
- Collaborate with engineers to define system designs and protocols
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Recommend technical improvements
- Troubleshoot hardware-related software issues
- Design robust firmware for optical and electrochemical sensors
- Manage data acquisition and signal processing
- Ensure reliable communication in harsh outdoor conditions
- Optimize power management for field-ready devices
- Transfer sensor concepts from prototype to production
