- Scientific excellence with high quality publications
- Clinical and/or biological expertise in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
- 5 plus years independent leadership experience
- External leadership/partnership in consortia and/or health authority initiatives
- Proven success leading and partnering in multidisciplinary matrix teams
- Mature biomarker strategy
- Ability to own entire portfolio section and phase package
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good presence and ability to influence and negotiate
- Experienced presenter and communicator
- Significant relevant experience after MD/PhD/postdoc
- Quantitative expertise in biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer biology, statistical genetics, clinical imaging, machine learning, or data science
- Interpreting and publishing studies with 'omics' data
- Closely partnering with/leading data scientists
- Fluent in oral and written English
- German, French, Italian useful but not required
Aufgaben
- Lead the CVM disease area biomarker matrix team
- Develop and implement biomarker strategies
- Provide interface for transitioning projects
- Serve as a core member of CVM clinical project teams
- Engage in Translational Data Science teams
- Provide therapeutic area line function review for clinical protocols
- Identify, develop, and drive disease biology
- Identify, develop, and drive mechanistic biology
- Identify, develop, and drive compound biology
- Support clinical approaches for the CVM portfolio
- Support precision medicine approaches for the CVM portfolio
- Deliver clinical project biomarker strategies
- Deliver disease biomarker strategies
- Support relevant mature assets in the late phase portfolio
- Lead a dedicated matrixed group of Subject Matter Experts
- Lead project team representatives
- Lead key program stakeholders
- Develop biomarkers strategies for disease
- Develop biomarkers strategies for assets
- Represent Biomarker Development on Decision Boards
- Drive cardiovascular and metabolic disease biology
- Drive compound mechanistic biology
- Drive precision medicine approaches for the portfolio
- Lead strategic translational data working groups
- Integrate large-scale patient multi-modal data sets
- Analyze large-scale patient multi-modal data sets
- Identify new indications
- Identify new endpoints
- Identify responsive patient subpopulations
- Represent BMD line functions in committees
- Develop clinical protocols
- Conduct operational milestone reviews
- Lead biomarker strategies at the clinical team level
- Drive biomarker plans at the clinical team level
- Lead BMD/TM/BR wide initiatives
- Contribute to BMD/TM/BR wide initiatives
- Stay up to date on clinical literature
- Stay up to date on disease literature
- Stay up to date on biology literature
- Stay up to date on scientific literature
- Stay up to date on competitor data
- Implement strategies in collaboration with BMD global organization
- Design the RDC biomarker strategy
- Present the RDC biomarker strategy
- Ensure study level alignment across the portfolio segment
