- Support flood and drought resilience programmes
- Develop climate services for water management
- Implement hydrological monitoring and early warning systems
- Promote climate adaptation in water governance
- Support climate-resilient water infrastructure and nature-based solutions
- Contribute to climate-resilient water investment programmes
- Support implementation of the Integrated Drought Management Programme (IDMP)
- Support implementation of the Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM)
- Strengthen collaboration on water-related climate extremes
- Coordinate programme activities with WMO technical teams
- Engage GWP Network in global climate and hydrological initiatives
- Support Hydrological Status and Outlook System (HydroSOS)
- Support Early Warnings for All Initiative
- Support Global Hydrometry Support Facility (HydroHub)
- Support World Water Data Initiative
- Support Global Framework for Climate Services
- Support Alliance for Hydromet Development
- Support Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems Initiative
- Support WMO Country Support Initiative
- Develop programme proposals for climate-resilient water governance
- Contribute technical inputs to climate-resilient water investment initiatives
- Prepare projects for climate finance mechanisms
- Develop bankable climate-resilient water investment programmes
- Develop climate-resilient water investment pipelines
- Integrate hydrological data into climate finance proposals
- Support climate-resilient water infrastructure and nature-based solutions
- Strengthen knowledge platforms for integrated drought and flood management
- Operate HelpDesk services for technical guidance
- Strengthen Communities of Practice on flood and drought management
- Disseminate knowledge and learning across the GWP Network
- Facilitate South-South learning and experience exchange
- Integrate GWP Network into global climate resilience programmes
- Facilitate collaboration between WMO initiatives and Regional Water Partnerships
- Support regional implementation of climate resilience initiatives
- Ensure effective information exchange between GWP Network and WMO programmes
- Represent GWPO in Geneva-based international forums
- Strengthen partnerships with UN agencies and international organizations
- Engage Geneva-based private sector actors and foundations
- Facilitate partnerships with private sector investors and financial institutions
- Mobilize partnerships and resources for climate resilience initiatives
- Represent GWPO in regional and international events
- Contribute to global policy dialogue on water and climate adaptation
- Support international advocacy initiatives on climate-resilient water systems
- Lead IDMP/APFM Climate Resilience projects
- Supervise IDMP/APFM technical specialists and programme experts
- Coordinate floods and drought-related projects across RWPs
- Promote a One GWP culture of collaboration
- Mentor and strengthen capacity within the global network
