In this role, you will lead Cradle's editorial efforts, transforming complex scientific topics into engaging narratives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with researchers, managing a team of creators, and ensuring high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Anforderungen

• •7+ years of science writing or science journalism experience
• •Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in life sciences, computer science, or a related field
• •Exceptional writing and interviewing skills
• •Experience writing for multiple audiences and formats
• •Understanding of multi-channel content distribution
• •Portfolio of published work demonstrating ability to make complex science engaging and accessible
• •Ability to work independently and ship content on deadline
• •Experience in biotech, pharma, or scientific software companies
• •Background in science journalism for major publications or industry media
• •Familiarity with protein engineering, synthetic biology, or computational biology
• •Experience with content management systems, basic design tools (Figma/Canva), and analytics platforms

Aufgaben

• •Act as the Editor-in-Chief for Cradle
• •Interview ML researchers and biologists to uncover key insights
• •Define editorial beats covering protein engineering and ML transformation
• •Maintain the master editorial calendar for high-impact content
• •Conceptualize content across various mediums and channels
• •Build and manage a bench of elite freelance writers and producers
• •Ensure editorial excellence and scientific accuracy in all content
• •Develop systems for project management and internal workflows
• •Collaborate with Growth and PR teams to enhance story reach
• •Track editorial impact using data-driven insights
