- Enthusiasm for regenerative medicine
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good English language skills
- Familiarity with cross-cultural/interdisciplinary environment
- Eligibility for Visa for temporary residence in Switzerland
Aufgaben
- Fabricate a mechanically loaded intervertebral disc model
- Work with 3D bio-printed intervertebral disc models
- Fit constructs into uniaxial and multiaxial bioreactor systems
- Culture models under mechanical loading with or without proinflammatory components
- Design innovative preclinical models to understand disc degeneration
- Validate models to test new therapies for discogenic low back pain
- Collaborate with a second doctoral student on the project
- Engage with project partners from Nantes University and Sorbonne University
