Anforderungen
- Proven hands-on experience as Observability Engineer, Monitoring Engineer or similar
- Practical experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and related tooling
- Experience designing and operating telemetry pipelines
- Experience with observability in distributed systems and cloud native architectures
- Experience with LLM observability for AI or ML workloads
- Experience migrating monitoring platforms to new observability platforms (strong plus)
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience with on-premises environments, Microsoft virtualised infrastructures
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, JSON or YAML
- Experience deploying Observability solutions/platform as IaC (Terraform)
- Good understanding of IT service management processes and event driven operations (plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and improve
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills
Aufgaben
- Design, implement, and operate modern observability solutions
- Ensure transparency, reliability, and performance of IT services
- Work closely with platform, architecture, and service management teams
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow team to integrate observability signals and alerts
- Engineer, operate, and improve observability platforms as a service
- Implement and maintain telemetry collection for metrics, logs, and traces
- Design and operate scalable telemetry pipelines
- Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and service level indicators
- Integrate observability platforms with IT service management solutions
- Support migration from legacy monitoring platforms to modern observability solutions
- Troubleshoot performance and availability issues across distributed systems
- Collaborate with application teams, service owners, and platform stakeholders
- Provide consultative guidance and observability best practices
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of observability standards
- Contribute input to observability strategy, roadmap planning, and technology evaluation
- Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides
