- Ideally 5+ years work experience in life sciences venture fund
- Entrepreneurial thinking
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Drug development experience
- Demonstrated ability and experience interacting with executives and senior leaders
- Existing relationships within Roche/Genentech pharmaceutical and diagnostics organizations (advantage)
- Strong global network in biotech community (entrepreneurs, investors (VC and corporate), academia)
- Previous board experience (preferred), including audit and/or compensation committee experience
- Strong teamwork skills
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills
- Fluent English
- Solid MS Office skills
Aufgaben
- Monitor emerging healthcare investment areas
- Develop investment strategies for healthcare
- Represent Roche Venture Fund externally
- Cultivate external network of professionals
- Assess and review new investment opportunities
- Lead investment negotiation, diligence, and transactions
- Build value with portfolio company stakeholders
- Monitor and report operational aspects of portfolio companies
- Monitor and report financial aspects of portfolio companies
- Interview and hire CEOs and C-level executives
- Set goals for portfolio companies
- Set budgets for portfolio companies
- Manage ongoing contractual issues
- Manage exits in portfolio companies
- Serve on the Investment Committee
