- Analyze mechanical and electrical malfunctions
- Evaluate unintended human operations
- Conduct Functional Hazard Assessments
- Conduct System Safety Assessments
- Support aircraft certification
- Perform Risk Analyses
- Support continuous aircraft development
- Conduct Common-Cause Analyses
- Manage safety requirements
- Generate safety evidences
- Develop safety procedures and limitations
- Interface with technical domains
- Influence aircraft/systems architecture
- Act as interface with stakeholders
- Review supplier data for safety
- Approve supplier data for reliability
