Student Assistant "Support for Monitoring Projects in Agrivoltaics"(m/w/x)
Collecting, preprocessing, and analyzing sensor data for Agri-PV plants in application-oriented research. Programming experience, ideally Python for data analysis, essential. Flexible hours, remote work option.
Anforderungen
- Studies in mechatronics, microsystems engineering, computer science or a related field
- Experience in programming, ideally Python (e.g., for data analysis with pandas)
- Confidence in working with Linux systems (shell/terminal)
- Advantageous knowledge of microcontroller programming, Modbus, LoRaWAN, remote sensing, web APIs, databases and statistical analysis
- Ideal experience with PostgreSQL, Git and TimescaleDB
- High commitment to team contribution and goal achievement
- Perseverance and drive for high-quality results
- Ability to plan tasks independently, proactively set priorities, and manage time effectively
- Good German language skills (at least B1 level)
Aufgaben
- Support detailed research on microclimate, soil, crop, and PV performance parameters at various sites.
- Collect data from sensors.
- Preprocess collected data.
- Analyze collected data.
- Assist in developing, configuring, and installing monitoring systems for Agri-PV plants.
- Maintain the PostgreSQL database.
- Further develop the dashboard using Dash, Python, and Grafana.
- Add missing features to the dashboard.
- Automate deployment using GitLab.
- Support project management with organizational tasks.
