As a Geospatial Backend Cloud Software Engineer, you will design and maintain backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable cloud applications. Your work will involve implementing APIs, optimizing data processing, and ensuring system performance.

Anforderungen

• •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable professional experience
• •3+ years of experience in backend development using C# and .NET Core
• •Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also considered)
• •Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or backend logic
• •Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and distributed systems
• •Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• •Production experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server or similar
• •Experience with version control (Git) and agile development methodologies
• •Understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals
• •Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• •Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda)
• •Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus)
• •Exposure to machine learning pipelines or data engineering using Python and / or Scala / Spark
• •Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, etc.)
• •Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• •Experience with geospatial datatypes (coordinate systems, raster, vector, point cloud, mesh)
• •Computer graphics and/or computer vision experience, in particular mesh or photogrammetry processing
• •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• •Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• •Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on quality and delivery
• •Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and challenges

Aufgaben

• •Design, develop, and maintain geospatial backend services using C# (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
• •Build and optimize cloud-native geospatial applications leveraging Azure, AWS, or GCP services
• •Implement RESTful OpenAPI spec APIs and data models
• •Create asynchronous processing systems
• •Write Python scripts for automation, testing, data analysis, or integration tasks
• •Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of backend components
• •Integrate and manage SQL and NoSQL databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• •Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
• •Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and data teams
• •Conduct code reviews and write unit and integration tests
• •Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
