- Extensive practical experience in strategic procurement of direct materials, ideally in chemical, process, or manufacturing industries
- Experience in developing and implementing material group or category strategies
- Proven, advanced SAP MM skills, ideally as an SAP Key User
- Proficiency in market and cost analyses, deriving and implementing sourcing and cost-reduction measures
- Confident negotiation skills and ease navigating corporate and matrix structures
- Analytical and systematic work approach with fact-based decision-making
- Proactive action, effective coordination of interfaces, and targeted involvement of relevant departments
- Fluency in German (C1 or higher) and English (B2 or higher)
- Occasional travel within Europe (approx. 3 days per month)

- Source direct and indirect materials
- Develop and implement product group strategies
- Analyze procurement markets and price trends
- Conduct international supplier selection
- Negotiate prices and contracts
- Ensure stable and reliable supply
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks
- Optimize purchasing processes with SAP MM
- Maintain quality of supplier master data
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Development, and Supply Chain
- Support cross-functional projects
- Prioritize materials during supply shortages
- Coordinate next steps with stakeholders
