- Doctoral degree/PhD degree in physics
- More than 3 years postdoctoral researcher experience
- Profound expertise in practical security proofs for photonic quantum cryptography
- Profound expertise in protocols beyond quantum key distribution
- Research competence and initiative proven through international publications
- High ability to express yourself clearly and effectively
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ideally teaching experience and motivation to communicate knowledge
- Ideally experience with Python, LaTeX and MATLAB
- Ideally experience with superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors
- Ideally experience with quantum-dot single photon sources
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to handle several concurrent, fast-paced projects
Aufgaben
- Develop and strengthen independent research profile
- Participate in research projects and studies
- Publish internationally and give presentations
- Apply for and acquire third-party funding
- Teach courses as defined by collective agreement
- Supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students
- Propose bachelor, master, and PhD projects
- Participate in evaluation and quality assurance
- Contribute to department and teaching administration
