Anforderungen
- Several years FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or related cloud/tech finance experience
- Solid understanding of public cloud architecture (AWS preferable)
- Understanding of how design decisions drive cost
- Hands-on cloud cost management experience
- Experience with tagging governance and allocation
- Experience with commitment/discount instruments (RIs, Savings Plans)
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to interpret usage and billing data
- Ability to spot patterns and anomalies in data
- Ability to recommend clear actions based on data
- Experience with FinOps or BI tooling
- Scripting (e.g. Python) for reporting and automation (plus)
- Effective communication of cost insight to stakeholders
- Ability to drive accountability across teams
- Willingness to learn and grow
Aufgaben
- Own cloud cost visibility end to end
- Maintain and improve tagging, allocation, and showback
- Drive rate optimisation across the estate
- Manage commitment, Reserved Instances, and Savings Plans strategy
- Build and maintain FinOps reporting, dashboards, and tooling
- Improve forecasting accuracy and support budgeting
- Identify and drive workload optimisation and waste reduction
- Partner with engineering teams on rightsizing, scheduling, and architecture
- Define and track cloud efficiency KPIs
- Embed cost-aware engineering into design and delivery
- Investigate cost anomalies
- Act as the go-to expert for cloud cost questions
