- 5+ years backend engineering experience

- Prior experience in regulated industries (banking or fintech)
- Proficiency in Kotlin
- Strong hands-on Spring Boot experience
- Solid Apache Kafka experience
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Practical Kubernetes or OpenShift experience
- Sound understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and design patterns
- Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC and backend security fundamentals
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices
- German B2+ language skills
- English business proficient
- Familiarity with Spring Cloud and distributed tracing tools
- Experience with database migration tooling (Flyway or Liquibase)
- French or Italian, advantageous
Aufgaben
- Design and develop secure backend services
- Maintain scalable APIs using Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Build event-driven integrations with Apache Kafka
- Operate Kafka producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams
- Manage Avro schemas with exactly-once semantics
- Own data models and query optimization
- Handle schema migrations across PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Integrate services with observability tools
- Support CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Deploy and monitor services on OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Apply OAuth2/OIDC security best practices
- Implement authentication and authorization
- Ensure data encryption
- Conduct code reviews
- Uphold engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers
- Produce high-quality technical documentation
- Document design and implementation details
- Maintain API contracts
