- Strong experience in web-application backend development
- Experience with PHP, Java, Python, Go or equivalent
- Eagerness to use PHP as daily driver
- Knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL
- Preferably MySQL knowledge
- Familiarity with end-to-end software building
- Firm understanding of frontend with React exposure
- Skill in writing unit and integration tests
- Solid grasp of error handling, logging, and observability
- Experience in contract and interface definition for maintainable code
- Familiarity with testing frameworks
- Deep understanding of component composition, reusability, accessibility, maintainability, performance best practices

- Build and optimize a dynamic, scalable platform
- Contribute to architectural decisions
- Drive technical excellence across the stack

- Ensure efficient data structures
- Ensure clear API interfaces
- Build and evolve developer tools and frameworks
- Support platform extensibility
- Scale third-party integrations
- Design and implement APIs
- Ensure high-quality code
- Define testing strategies
- Design, develop, and implement hyperscaling solutions for third-party systems
- Support external developers with documentation
- Build and refine API interfaces and service communications
- Create efficient contracts and interfaces
- Maintain and enhance existing solutions
- Proactively identify and resolve issues
- Partner with product management, design, and engineering on product development
- Coach and mentor fellow engineers
- Conduct pair programming
- Perform code reviews
- Share knowledge
