Aufgaben
- Lead mechanical design for novel legged robots
- Perform actuator sizing and linkage design
- Identify COTS components versus custom hardware
- Integrate sensors and hardware into robot chassis
- Create detailed design documentation and drawings
- Build prototypes using in-house fabrication equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors for advanced manufacturing
- Construct robot stands and lab test fixtures
- Run experiments to evaluate subsystems and robots
- Investigate novel actuation and soft robotics technologies
- Write patents and academic scientific publications
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams
- Debug and repair robots during field operations
- Support team research and experimental hardware needs
