Aufgaben
- Provide material consultancy to engineering and design teams
- Offer material guidance to project and product managers
- Provide expert consultation on metallic materials and manufacturing
- Select materials for components and systems based on requirements
- Evaluate material properties and performance in applications
- Identify solutions for material challenges like wear and corrosion
- Align machine and system requirements with alloy design and manufacturing
- Conduct material failure analyses to determine root causes
- Propose mitigation strategies for material failures
- Support quality engineers in issuing technical delivery rules
- Assist quality engineers in dealing with non-conformities
- Develop thermodynamic simulation competence within the group
- Support material development and evaluation
- Plan and execute material projects with R&D and engineering managers
- Develop technical solutions in interdisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with national and international material research institutes
- Collaborate with national and international material testing institutes
- Moderate FMEAs for projects with low to moderate technological readiness
- Assist the organization in performing Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)
- Participate in RCAs within your field of expertise
- Prepare Best Practices and Success Stories for publication
- Perform failure analysis
