Anforderungen
- •Ongoing master's studies in automation & control, technical mathematics, technical informatics, or comparable technical field
- •Excellent knowledge in optimization
- •Excellent knowledge of Matlab and Python
- •Excellent technical understanding and analytical capabilities
- •Enjoyment of application-oriented questions of industry
- •High level of commitment and team spirit
- •Good knowledge of German and/or English in word and writing
Ausbildung
Aufgaben
- •Conduct a comprehensive literature review of known solution methods and available solvers
- •Define an optimal control problem using an existing state-space model of the processing line
- •Choose or develop an algorithm for solving the defined control problem
- •Evaluate the algorithm based on reasonable performance metrics
- •Test the solution algorithm through closed-loop simulations of an MPC tracking control strategy for strip temperature
- •Implement the testing using Matlab
- •Engage in scientific work training and discussions with interdisciplinary experts in mathematics, informatics, physics, control, and mechanical engineering
