- 7+ years hands-on CNC experience
- Significant time as machinist or CAM programmer
- Understanding of spindle speeds, toolpath strategies, fixturing tradeoffs
- Expertise programming/operating 5-axis machining centers
- Expert-level CAM ability (Hypermill or similar)
- Ability to evaluate CAM setup
- Ability to challenge process plan
- Knowledge of realistic tolerance callouts
- Experience building/leading machining team
- Ability to set quality/discipline standards
- Deep familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent quality systems
- Understanding of GD&T
- Understanding of first-article inspection
- Understanding of traceability requirements
- Enthusiasm for software/AI automation
- Fluent German and English
- Ability to diagnose/fix machine setup problems
- Embrace automation in manufacturing
- Constant collaboration with software/AI teams
- Presence on the shop floor
