- Current Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or TSO Certification Specialist, or Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
- 5+ years of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
- 12+ years’ experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and agile software engineering best practices
- 9+ years’ experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- 9+ years’ experience leading software development projects
- Experience using common software version control tools such as Git
- Experience with Agile planning tool such as JIRA, TSF
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Aufgaben
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in aircraft software and systems design
- Foster a safety-first mindset and enhance team members' professional growth
- Serve as the primary liaison for EASA and FAA representatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate the certification process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Boeing's internal standards
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges with a focus on safety
- Oversee the preparation and submission of technical documentation for certification
- Monitor project progress to meet safety and certification milestones
- Develop and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, and designs for software systems
- Select and deploy processes, tools, and metrics for engineering activities
- Participate in industry working groups to develop guidance and standards
- Author internal design practice documentation and command media
