Anforderungen
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Engineering, Natural science, Environmental Management, Economics, Technology Innovation or relevant field
- Minimum professional experience aligned with educational level
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s): at least 8 years relevant professional experience
- Minimum three years experience in design of technical cooperation programs and projects and mobilizing funding from multilateral climate funds (GCF, GEF, Adaptation Fund) and bilateral donors
- Progressively responsible professional experience, including international level, in technical cooperation in developing countries
- Experience in all phases of Project Cycle
- Experience evaluating needs, conditions and problems in developing countries
- Experience in design, resource mobilization and implementation of technical cooperation projects in climate adaptation and resilience
- Experience engaging industry and private sector in climate adaptation and resilience is desirable
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Fluency in or working knowledge of other United Nations language(s)
Aufgaben
- Develop and formulate technical cooperation projects/programmes in climate technology innovation
- Ensure climate adaptation and resilience projects align with UNIDO guidelines
- Obtain internal approval for technical cooperation projects/programmes
- Provide project/programme implementation services
- Deliver assigned inputs on time, at the right quality, and within budget
- Prepare consultant job descriptions and terms of reference
- Arrange training and specify equipment for projects
- Monitor project implementation progress
- Conduct missions to project sites
- Participate in oversight meetings at field and headquarters levels
- Assist the Evaluation Group in project/programme evaluations
- Cooperate with internal units to mobilize funds for projects/programmes
- Assist in preparing for UNIDO global forum activities
- Assist in running UNIDO global forum activities
- Prepare technical papers for external seminars and conferences
- Prepare inputs for expert group meetings
- Prepare UNIDO publications and information dissemination tools
- Stay updated on technical and economic developments in the Division's mandate
- Maintain contact with specialized institutions and industry representatives
- Follow technical press, market developments, and trends
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief/Head of Unit and Director of the Division
